Removal of Suspension Penalties:
Meta stated that Donald Trump, as the Republican Party’s nominee, would no longer be subject to the heightened suspension penalties that were initially imposed on his accounts. After the violent attack on the US Capitol in January 2021, Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended indefinitely due to his supportive social media comments regarding the incident.
